  • From the Main Station there is, among others, tram line 50 – the final stop is “Poczta Główna”, from where it is a 5-minute walk to the destination. 
  • From Krakow – Balice airport you can get there by train, bus or taxi. 
  • Take the city train (Kraków Airport Express) to the Kraków Główny Railway Station, and then you can change to a tram.
  • There is also a bus line 300 from the stop “Kraków-Balice Airport”, the final stop is “National Museum 4” where you need to change to bus line 502, final stop “Teatr Główny 1” – distance from the Museum 450 meters.

Market Square Underground Museum

Main Square Underground Museum in Krakow is located under the eastern part of Main Market Square. It covers an impressive area of ​​over 6,000 m², including an archaeological reserve of almost 4,000 m². Work on the project began in 2005. The museum was finally opened on September 24, 2010.

The museum has both permanent and temporary exhibitions. The permanent exhibition, titled “On the Trail of Cracow’s European Identity”, offers a multimedia time-travel spectacle that transports visitors to the atmosphere of the medieval market square. The underground tour route exhibits, among others: former waterworks, a settlement and various shopping stalls. The museum also offers special zones, such as a screening room, a cinema room and a children’s zone with a playroom and a theater. This place not only presents the history of Krakow, but also engages visitors in interactive cultural and educational experiences.
